Preserving food
Because your fridge/freezer is never turned off, it is one of the busiest energy users in your kitchen. Running at full capacity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The emptier your fridge or freezer is, the harder it has to work to keep everything inside cold. Keeping your fridge or freezer as full as possible reduces the amount of energy it uses & therefore the amount it costs to run both financially and environmentally.
Ideally we would like our fridges to be full of delicious food all the time, but rather than pack the fridge full of more food than we are able to eat, the more cost-effective and healthy insulation option is to fill empty space with carrier bags filled with newspaper.
Save energy, save money & help save the planet
